About this deal

If they want to find their way back to each other, they have some pretty big lessons to learn as they sort out their personal issues and find their purpose in the world, and more importantly a place in each other’s lives. For me, one of the greatest strengths of this novel is the stark parallels, but also the shocking differences, between both these narratives.

Je pense que ces deux romans plairont à toute âme romantique, quel que soit l'age (plutôt jeune adultes, mais ça fonctionne aussi avec les moins jeunes visiblement ! Its a companion novel to just one day from Willem's point of view that how he experienced that one year without ally. Lainy struggled to juggle her passion for writing with a full time job and since September 2023, happily, now works part-time as a teacher and part-time as an author as well as spending much loved time with two delightful grandchildren. Just a Box is a magical Book for Sharing about the power of imagination, written by the Children's Laureate Joseph Coelho. I didn’t know I was going to care about Willem this much but considering I didn’t like Allyson until the very end, that shouldn’t have been that much of a surprise.

Adam and Willem, however, are as different as can be and I love that I love these two distinct male narratives for different reasons. I loved how the story starts, it wasn't greatfor them in the beginning but I liked how things developed for them!

In January, I was impressed by Forman’s Just One Day, but not nearly as much as I was impressed by her If I Stay/Where She Went duology. And then you turn around and start reading the series again, just so you can capture all of the emotion of this story again. I loved the banter that started with a sort of antagonistic edge and then steadily picked up sizzle as the book progressed.I like that there was some angst, but I prefer more intensity between the two main characters and some parts were slow for me. Instead, she throws us fully into Willem’s head, leaving us to grasp at the straws of his connections to his remaining family members and their impact on his life. I was having an awful flare up with my chronic illness: I couldn’t stay awake; I had intense pain and all I couldn’t leave the house.
