Grant’s “give me your hand” which allows players to move another character, potentially out of danger. It features 10 characters from that movie and it's a 'one versus many' game where one player controls the (three) dinosaurs and 1-4 other players control the humans.

The challenge of the game for the players playing as the human characters comes in figuring a way to use the actions on the cards to maneuver around the island, activate the locations, achieve their personal goal, and get to the helicopter pad. As always, we brought a friend along who has never played before to get their opinion on Jurassic Park: Danger.

We did get all three locations activated, and several goals were achieved, but no one got to safety. Ione really enjoyed how the game has so many characters (almost everyone in the original film is playable) but also felt the game does not always know what to do with them all, making the game feel clunky and awkward at times.

This is an issue because going into the game, both sides already know most of the tricks the other might have up their sleeve, leaving little room for deceptive gameplay. The game features all your favourite characters from Dr Grant through Dennis Nedry and, everyone’s favourite insurer risk assessor, Mr Donald Genaro.If a player's character is eliminated, the player just takes a new character - which is one of the reasons why this 2-5 player game comes with so many different characters from the 1993 movie.

The publisher for Jurassic Park: Danger, Ravensburger, are actually one of our favourite publishers, producing excellent games that are usually easy to pick up and fun for many playthroughs. Unfortunately, as it stands, the game is very repetitive and can get boring even after a couple of playthroughs. Fast forward to now – 25 years later – where the Jurassic Park experience has been aptly transferred into a fun and challenging board game.Like Forbidden Island and Pandemic, choosing the characters rather than letting it be random can make the game unfair as some characters are easier to play than others. If you watched even a small part of our video review, you most likely heard me mention how hard the game is for the human characters to win. Once we cleared up those points, the human characters fared much better – although they still didn’t escape. One player controls the T-Rex, Dilophosaurus, and Velociraptor, prowling through the jungle to attack the humans.
