About this deal

To mark this milestone, the legendary British metal band has released an anniversary label edition of Trooper Original and a Special Edition Trooper X Imperial Stout. Combining peach aromas and taste with subtle pine notes, this lager is crisp and refreshing with a delicate balance of flavours. the beer utilises yeast fermented at a colder temperature for a longer time, said to showcase its flavour balance.

Let us know if we need instructions for where to find your house or want us to leave your wine in the shed! Light in body, but slightly dry with a medium bitterness and pithy aftertaste, this session IPA’s name hints at the legend of St Edmund, the original patron saint of England – from whom Bury St Edmunds takes its name – who was beheaded by the Vikings in 869. Brand new in the legendary craft beer range from Greene King, Flint Eye Dry Hopped Lager celebrates the stone age flint tipped arrows found in and around Bury St Edmunds. Our logo, featuring a Janus head of gilt pigs, embodies our connection to the ancient craft of brewing exceptional beer, while also embracing a circular, sustainable business model mindful of our local terroir, the flint fields of East Devon. It has a floral, juicy flavour profile, probably down to the Tettnanger and Saaz hops used; they’re joined by aromatic Styrian Goldings and orangey Mandarina Bavaria. Subterranea, Greene King’s second limited edition offering, was created using a historic stout recipe from 1926 adapted to modern brewing techniques boasting roasted chocolate, coffee, and caramel notes, and named after a folk tale about a fiddler who got lost in the subterranean tunnels beneath Bury St Edmunds. Over 200 years has passed and we're still brewing in Suffolk; everything from traditional cask ales to stouts, lagers, pale ales and IPA's. Greene King has launched two new beers into the premium craft sector, and is backing its brews with a massive advertising campaign. The new offerings celebrate Britain’s wild flavours and occasionally eccentric past but are very much designed for the modern drinker. Greene King’s limited edition Western Zeph IPA is brewed using new Harlequin and Godiva hops, as well as CF184, a hop so new it doesn’t have a name yet, and is 100% British, brewed with English malts and hops to create a bold, punchy beer high in bitterness but with underlying sweetness. This lager was created in celebration of the Neolithic flint-tipped arrowheads found in and around the Greene King Brewery’s home of Bury St Edmunds. These two hero launches will soon be joined by a west coast IPA, 4% Western Zeph West Coast IPA, and an oatmeal stout, Subterranea, both limited edition brews ‘for the more curious drinker. Celebrating the Neolithic flint tipped arrows found in and around Bury St Edmunds, and the sharp eye of the hunting archers.
