Description

With the recent release of the Leagues of Votann, we’re going to take a look at some different methods for getting your vertically-challenged space-capitalists ready for war. We’ll be focusing on the five major Leagues covered in the Codex to start with, and in this article we’re going to zoom in on the master armourers of the Ymyr Conglomerate. Cronch’s Method Dreadnoughts and MkIII armour come to the Age of Darkness this week, while we continue to celebrate 40 years of Warhammer with the latest Commemorative Series miniature and a rerelease of the classic Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader rulebook. And for skirmish game fans, there’s a new case to safely store your units in.

This boxed set builds the Lion himself, available here for the first time alongside an honour guard of Bladeguard Veterans – elite warriors equipped with imposing shields and the finest weapons of the Chapter. Lion El’Jonson is a jaw-dropping miniature befitting his legendary status, striding over battlefield rubble in ornate knightly armour decorated with personal heraldry and the symbols of the Dark Angels. He’s joined by a pair of mysterious Watchers in the Dark, and can be built with one of four different head options – a bare head, a hooded head, a crested helm, and a hooded helm. The war against the Death Guard continues, plague begins to ravage the worlds of Ultramar, and undeniable miracles begin to break down Roboute Guilliman’s understanding of the universe even as he denies his father’s divinity. Dark Imperium: The Omnibus – French Edition Now, let’s enhance the model’s details. Paint the crest design and other intricate elements on the armor. Use vibrant colors, such as Evil Sunz Scarlet or Averland Sunset, to create visual contrast against the main armor shade. Focus on precision and bring out these details.

Einhyr Hearthguard

Clad in bulky exo-armour with a rune-etched RAM shield and Autoch-pattern combi-bolter, the Einhyr Champion leads the charge with impunity. Alongside him are five elite Einhyr Hearthguard, plus a squad of Cthonian Beserks, brandishing powerful mining tools that double as weapons of war, and ten Hearthkyn Warriors armed with a variety of powerful hulk-scouring wargear. For all these grand events, none can compare to the return of a demigod long thought lost to the annals of legend. Lion El’Jonson, Primarch of the Dark Angels, has awoken, and by strange paths has returned to aid the Imperium in its darkest hour. Will the Lion triumph, or will the champions of Chaos unleash a new and nightmarish force upon the galaxy?

In 2023, Games Workshop released a special model for the Enihyr Champion during its Warhammer Day Event. It’s called the Ancestors’ Wrath, an exclusive Leagues of Votann model, featuring detailed craftsmanship and customizable heads. Einhyr Champion Datasheets What’s in the Einhyr Champion box Additional rules for using four factions in Boarding Actions – Leagues of Votann, Thousand Sons, Adeptus Custodes, and Agents of the Imperium An Einhyr Champion of the Ymyr Conglomerate armed with a Darkstar Axe engages his modified exo-armour's mass driver accelerators and storms into the midst of the Tyranid swarm like a living thunderbolt. For the Autoch-pattern combi-bolter, use a similar metallic shade as in the previous step. Paint the main body and barrel with colors like Leadbelcher or Runelord Brass. Don’t forget to add subtle highlights to mimic the play of light on the metal.Greg Chamberlain – Leagues of Votann: Lots of Hearthguard, Sagitaurs and a Land Fort. Up the dwarves!! Rules for squats made the transition to the Codex Imperialis booklet in the 2nd edition Warhammer 40k box set, but they never again received a Codex or new models. Jervis Johnson wrote on the Specialist Games Forums that the design team simply weren’t fired up enough by the narrative behind the Squats to design a new Codex or new models. Soon enough, the squats were cut from the lore. Their fate was rather ignominious – their homeworlds were eaten by Tyranids.
