But with a stall force reaching well over 60lbs., there’s no stalling this thing once it starts revving away. We suspect the motor has something to do with this. Not many guns have a motor like this has. This is a monster gun, especially at high speeds. And what else did we discover during our test? The excellent ergonomics! The angled handle was fantastic for those of us who appreciate a smooth massage. Plus, it weighed just 2.2lbs. and felt really well well-balanced. Yes, Achedaway is an awesome and trusted brand. They have a great reputation for designing quality products. But it all comes down to the dynamic suction with the pre-programmed modes complemented with the Red Light therapy. It’s marvelous! We can wholeheartedly recommend the device for these features alone. In this post we’ll explore whether the lower price means something’s been sacrificed or not. Just a hint though; this is an awesomely powerful gun but with a few minor flaws.

Customer care: Also important if a device doesn’t work as it should. Based on our experience, Ekrin offers the best customer care. Therabody, Achedaway, Bob and Brad also have a good support teams in place. With such a significant amplitude and powerful stall force, this is the gun you need when you are a big guy. Honorable Mention: Theragun Pro The Theragun PRO is one of the strongest massage guns and by far the best-equipped one. In the end, whatever you choose, I think you’ll be satisfied because all three of them are outstanding massagers.Their name literally means “ pain relieved” or “ pain taken away” – whichever way you choose to interpret it. That aside, their Pro device will provide a deep tissue percussive therapy and do so at a fraction of the price a Theragun or a Hypervolt would. To sweeten the deal even more, Lifepro gave this massage gun a 13mm stroke length – we were able to verify it using a digital caliper. This setup will work perfectly with this kind of stall force. But the thing is that apart from the high amplitude and slightly improved ergonomics (slimmer, oval handle) we feel it has nothing really unique to offer. Well, unless you have a thing for Bluetooth. Here are some notes to compare: On the other hand, both the Hypervolt and Theragun offer a mobile app and Bluetooth connectivity, which can be really useful, especially for beginners. Plus, the fact that they are premium brands matters to some people. Stall force, sometimes also called as ‘ no-stall force‘ is how much pressure it takes to stop the motor of a massage gun. You want something that will continue working even under a considerable amount of pressure.

There are no specific forms of exercise attached to the BFR training, which means you can easily incorporate it into any form of exercise. Follow your usual exercise routine, reduce the weight or intensity, use the BFR band or specialized tourniquet, and get to work. Not only it has such a high stall force, the amplitude is impressive as well, punching up to 16mm deep – yes, exactly the same as the mighty Theragun Pro. First, this monster device takes the number one position because even we couldn’t believe our experience with it. Because Theragun has got all the hype in this space, we thought it would be rare for anyone to rival it. That said, the device gives you some interesting massage modes and controls, and this is where it gets intriguing.

Well, we had a bit of a guilt trip for failing to include the Theragun Pro but we are not sorry for not including the latest Hypervolt 2 Pro. Let us explain. Our Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro (right) next to the predecessor, Hypervolt Plus (left).

The matte finish both looks nice and isn’t slippery as glossy plastic can be. The holding positions are comfortable and the heft of the unit helps to keep the unit from vibrating uselessly and provides a bit of pressure to help hold it to the muscle. At the same time, it’s not too heavy for when a lighter touch is needed. Pro has a better stall force (as advertised: Pro 80lbs. Achedaway 50lbs.). Even though it doesn’t hit 80lbs. (as we confirmed) it’s still more powerful at 60-65lbs. The device also comes with replaceable filters that sit tight between the cup and the device. The filters serve two roles: Opove advertises a 70lbs. stall force, and when we tested it, it felt just slightly lower, somewhere between 45-50lbs. But, given its price point, this is still well above average.

Guided sessions could be included. Since there’s an app, it would be nice to see some guided routines on how to use the Cupper in different scenarios and different body parts. We saw Hyperice and Therabody do this.
