The impetus is a Halloween convention held in South Pasadena (site of the original filming), from which a considerable amount of footage is drawn.

essentially from H3 onward, in my opinion, I was nevertheless equally intrigued with the stories and info on the later films of the series, which I think speaks to the quality of the show's craft. Not because there is excessive gore and violence, but because of the skillful amalgamation of suspense, atmospheric music score and brilliant direction. The most delightful element of this thing, however, is seeing plenty of vintage stills and 'making of' footage from the shoot, which will be of great interest to any fan. Halloween: A Cut Above The Rest, a documentary about the making of Halloween on disc 2, plus On Location 25 Years Later and trailers, T V and radio spots. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I was impressed by the collection of interesting documentaries and interviews over the four discs and having a remastered copy to replace my outdated VHS copy is very satisfying. Ja vielleicht mag die us version viel länger gehen, aber die doku über halloween in spielfilm länge reicht vollkommen aus um sich ausfürlich zu informieren und mal hinter die kulissen zu schauen.

Theres documentaries about the making of all the movies, loads of convention interviews with the cast and crew, tours around haddonfield, info on the halloween gathering that most of the dvd info comes from, merchandise, fans of the films and loads more. Exclusive 4DVD Version 1978, director John Carpenter changed the face of horror cinema and made movie history with Halloween, the terrifying account of psycho killer Michael Myers' horrific rampage through the small town of Haddonfield. The documentary does get a little bogged down at times in showing clips of the movie, but the interviews are quite wonderful to see. Not just covering the production stories, or the fan base, or some other aspect exclusively -- but it's really a full-orbit "all-things-Halloween" documentary. In between the reminiscences both positive and negative, horror heavyweights like Clive Barker and Rob Zombie weigh in on both the first film’s primal appeal and the downslide of quality and substance in its follow-ups.The camerawork here is on the amateurish side, but the discussions all hold the interest, particularly cast reunions for the first film (Soles, Cyphers and Brian Andrews, plus executive producer Joseph Wolf) and HII (Pamela Susan Shoop, Tawny Moyer, Cliff Emmich and Gloria Gifford). Also quite fascinating was the coverage of fans and the activities attending the first Halloween convention in 2003. Es fehlen nur die Bewertungen der neusten Teile der Reihe, da es diese eben noch nicht zum Zeitpunkt des Erscheinens der Dokumentation gab, sonst wäre perfekt geworden. A fine documentary about the franchise (the first 8 movies) and interviews with people who work on those movies.
