Description

Supplements are not essential for anyone. You can get 100g of protein from a vegan diet if you know how to make a balanced one with the right ingredients. Some of you might get a feel of artificial marzipan chewing this white chocolate almond protein bar. The caramel outer layer on the top of the white chocolate is well blended together.

I tried Chocolate Dough first because this flavor was the most appealing to me (who can pass up a good chocolate option? Not me!) It tastes like a mixture of chocolate cake and a candy bar. It’s kind of like a Crunch bar because of the crunchy chocolate pieces on top (in protein bar form, of course…) This bar takes the best parts of all the other bars, combines them into one bar, and somehow makes them even better.

🍪 Privacy & Transparency

Anyway, at time of writing, Barebells protein bars come in nine flavours, which you can skip to using the links below: It’s not fair if we don’t discuss plant-based protein bars. There are hundreds of thousands of people who use plant-based protein bars regularly. Barebells sure love their sprinkles – this bar is adorned with some white disks which, although cute, have no discernible purpose or relation to fudge whatsoever. But, unnecessary adornments aside, the bar is deliciously sweet – as you would expect fudge to be.

Barebells have two different plant-based protein bars; Hazelnut Nougat and Salty peanut vegan protein bars. It’s a classic protein bar flavour, and a go-to for many people. Barebells’ offering certainly looks good, coated in a thin layer of milk chocolate and sprinkled with cocoa soya crispies.

Barebells are a fairly new protein bar to the game, having been founded in 2016. However, that was in Sweden, and they didn’t make their way to the US for several years after that. I felt like I could taste the sugar alcohols a bit more in this flavor, but it wasn’t overpowering by any means. The flavor was on point and I really enjoyed it. Hazelnut protein bars have soy protein isolate and pea protein as the primary protein source. In my previous article, I have clearly explained that soy protein isolate is harmful to men, and men should not use it.

Barebells No Added Sugar Protein Bar - Caramel Cashew (55g)

This one had crushed up peanuts on top and was coated in milk chocolate. It had a thin layer of (I’m assuming) caramel inside. The mint hits you first – nice and fresh. There’s a minty cream under the coating which makes for a nice moisture which saves the bar from being too ‘tough’. The core is the chewier ‘old-style’, not as soft as some of the more recent ‘nougat-y’ textured centres which is a shame. Enter the protein bar, a convenient way to get some extra protein in your diet when you're on the go.
