Description

When LEGO 21325 Medieval Blacksmith was officially announced a few months ago, I, as a LEGO Castle fan, was inexplicably hyped for the set. Even with the 18+ age rating, I suspect they decided that brighter colors and a smaller size make it a more commercially viable set.

The updated horse with movable hind legs has not been produced in tan before and it makes a pleasant change from white, brown and black.

Could this possibly be intended to be farther north than Britain or France--in particular, Scandinavia? If fellow users in the LEGO Ideas community up vote the project to 10000 then LEGO Group has a committee which votes on whether to build the set and release it.

Although to be fair, by then their population was probably already decimated due to overhunting (and had disappeared entirely from Britain). And then there are the small touches that really bring the set to life: the bellows that trigger the light brick in the blacksmith’s forge; the well, squash garden and foliage that present just a hint at the surrounding landscape; and the knights travelling by wagon to collect their supplies. When I am building sets for review, I’m constantly adjusting my expected rating for the set as I build. Usually working in iron and later steel, they would make all manner of things – nails, horseshoes, hinges, weapons, armour and hand tools, among many other practical and decorative things. If you look at just large sets with similar piece counts, like the modular buildings, my average ratio is 408:1.The set contains 14 numbered parts bags, a 15th bag without a number that contains some of the larger parts, and the instruction book is wrapped up.

I am mostly a "Technic" guy but I will get this (eventually), just like I will soon get Pirates of Barracuda Bay. Additionally make sure your User-Agent is not empty and is something unique and descriptive and try again. Photos of this set leaked on January 2, leading to a vigorous debate amongst the LEGO fan community about the upcoming set because it looks significantly different than the original submission. They're not really big enough for more than a welcome mat, and the hair is probably tough and bristly.

At first the difference was jarring but seeing a full review convinced me it's done justice to the original submission.
