In fact, there was a lot of light in this novel. From love interest Jory (who you can’t help falling in love with) to dear friend Arthur (the bow tie scene squeezed my heart), Turner has cleverly blended the every day with the extraordinary, and sadness with joy to make an uplifting and tender read. It is a story about digging deep for strength you never knew you had, and finding magic in the little things that were there all along. Providing for your family is more than meeting physical needs. It also means taking responsibility to provide for emotional and spiritual needs. The characters were so rich & full of life. From the cute potty training toddler to the elderly gent next door. Personally, I am so grateful that God inspired Dennis to take the necessary time and effort required to complete the finished product of this awesome book. I highly recommend the reading of his book, as well as the radio broadcast each weekday by Dennis Rainey. Without going into too much, the tragic event was dealt with so brilliantly, it really showed the feelings across all characters in a sensitive and realistic way. The whole storyline was just written perfectly. One of the book's strengths is its emphasis on the interconnectedness of different areas of life, including relationships, finances, and personal growth. Izzo argues that taking responsibility in one area of life can lead to positive changes in other areas. He provides examples of individuals who have transformed their lives through this approach.You can (and do) make a difference every time you step up, even in the smallest way. Be that person. Be that voice . See a need. Fill a need (from Robots). I had the fantastic opportunity to hear and see Dr. John Izzo during a staff event at the company I work for early this year. Even though he wasn't able to join us in real life, he managed to keep us challenged through a 90 minutes videoconference. Kudos to him for pulling this off.
