Smooth out any wrinkles and wipe away any excess glue with a barely damp sponge as you glue each piece. I have seen people suggesting that if you add a few drops of a water based varnish to the water/glue mixture that it makes it more glossy and like Mod Podge, this is maybe something to experiment with.When you reach the three legs at the bottom, use a whole sheet to cover the side of one leg.
