Description

I live near the sea in Cornwall in the UK and work from my attic studio where my ideas are scribbled, inked, Wacom'd, splashed, printed, and Photoshopped into existence. It's Halloween and everyone is excited about the school disco. It's a bit much for me - all that dressing-up and dancing. I'd rather cosy up with a good book, but Milo, Mindy and Manny are all super excited.

There's a spooky mystery at school, in the sixth hilarious case in the award-winning Anisha, Accidental Detective series! There's sabotage on the school trip, in the seventh hilarious case in the award-winning Anisha, Accidental Detective series! DELIGHTFUL! Perfect for younger detectives - so funny and clever and sweet." Robin Stevens, author of the Murder Most Unladylike series

Milo and I have been looking forward to this half-term for what feels like FOREVER - we're finally going to the National Space Centre, to meet a real-life space engineer! Someone needs to stop them, before they ruin all our hard work. Looks like a case for me, Anisha, accidental eco-detective!

My daughter loved this book. It has great relatable characters, it's funny and it has an exciting storyline which involves investigating with friends. It's great to see a more diverse main character and also to learn about her family's culture and beliefs as part of the story. I studied illustration at Kingston University, London, and my second children’s picture book was longlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal in 2005. I've since illustrated many titles for a wide variety of publishers and clients including Ladybird, Oxford University Press, Girlguiding, Bear Grylls Ventures, and Usborne. I'm rather fond of sneaking self portraits and/or bunny slippers into my illustrations. As you can probably guess, I love books and you can often find me making a fool of myself preaching the good gospel of the library to local school children. In this story Anisha and her class have to put on a school play about Albert Einstein with only one weeks notice. Things start to go wrong though. First of all the roof collapses and then there's a star shaped hole in the stage curtain.

From the Publisher

It is all about detectives and spies in our house still. My daughter has started her own detective agency with her friends where they pretend to solve mysteries (lost cats and missing items!) with a little notebook to write down clues (amongst other essential props!)
